  3. The Narrator is an INIT resource. It's INIT resource (#5) needs to be pasted 
  4. into your startup disk's system file INITs.  By placing it on your boot disk 
  5. in the System Folder, it will speek whatever is contained in the text file 
  6. named StartupSpeech, which should be in the same folder.
  7.  
  8. If you are using an older version of the Finder, you may have to use the 
  9. Resource Editor. If so, put The Narrator directly into the System file.
  10.  
  11. Macintalk is required and must be in the system folder on the book disk. If 
  12. it is not available, nothing will be spoken.
  13.  
  14. You should keep line lengths in the StartupSpeech file rather short so that 
  15. speech buffers do not overflow. A maximum of eighty characters is fine.
  16.  
  17. The Narrator was thought of and written by Robert Churchill. It is 
  18. copyrighted by Churchill Development. It is being put in the public domain 
  19. as share-ware. If you like it, please contribute a few dollars. And, give it
